The discussion about personality disorders was really interesting. I don't "get" it, but maybe that's a good thing. I wonder is it that the brains of these people are just different like a chemical imbalance or something? I heard that the there have been studies about the brains of serial killers and that there isn't a physical difference. Their brain looks just like anyone normal person. I read Ann's books to try and understand and to know what to watch for so maybe I don't become a victim too.

There are so many stories to pick from, Ann, I don't know how you can decide. It is sad that there is so much evil around us. I just don't understand, for instances, when a man or woman has a choice between divorce or murder, how they can pick murder. Diane Downs killed and wounded her own children which is so horrific that I can't even wrap my head around it. Looking forward to the new book. Thanks for all you do.

Sorry about the miscommunication concerning the DSM IV manual. I need to clarify. What I meant to say was that I can recognize when a person doesn't treat me decently. That's how I know what people to extract from my life. I may not know their exact diagnosis, but I know enough to know "they ain't right."

I love your books but since I live in upstate New York I have especially enjoyed reading Last Dance Last Dance.
What a monster the so called doctor was and thank goodness his wife is alive and her children doing well.
